Action of waste removing from Kupa river
As a part of a project „Partnerships for environment: Developing Public and Civil Environment Protection Capacities in Croatia through practise of Green Phone Service“ local environmental organisation Eko Pan on 9th July 2016. organized an action of waste removing from Kupa river.
Besides the members of Eko Pan the action were also joined by Underwater Activities Club Karlovac divers, Association Vukovi s Kupe, representatives of districts Banija and Gaza, users of Center for Homeless Karlovac ( Association Milosrđe), workers of Čistoća d.o.o. Karlovac and other citizens.
Large quantities of waste were removed: more than 25 automobile tyres, 2 bicycles, pieces of glass, plastics, ceramic pieces, small items of metal hardware, even ammunition and one Kalashnikov.
